The first level (PS20) removes from water mechanical pollutants with sizes superior to 20 microns. Sand, rust and other sediments are stopped by micropores, whose external diameter is larger than an internal one. Large particles are intercepted close to the surface, while small ones – in deeper layers.
The second level (BL or GAC) removes chlorine and organic substances from water. Due to its porous structure, active carbon is an excellent filtration material. Chemical substances are adsorbed in pores.
The third level (PS5) removes from water mechanical pollutants with sizes superior to 5 microns.
