The first stage (PS20) removes mechanical impurities larger than 20 microns from the water. Sand, rust, and other deposits are trapped by micropores, the diameter of which decreases towards the inside. Large particles are captured near the surface, while small ones are in deeper layers.
The second stage (BL or GAC) removes chlorine and organic substances from the water, thus protecting the RO membrane and extending its life. Due to its porous structure, activated carbon is an excellent filter material. Chemicals are adsorbed in the pores.
