The Caleffi 525040 water hammer arrester is designed for a single outlet, such as a tap or washing machine, or a small group of services, such as a bathroom supplied via a manifold. It prevents the vibration caused by water hammer which is not only annoying but eventually can result in split or cracked pipe fittings. The Caleffi water hammer arrester is maintenance-free and can be installed in any orientation. The arrester should be installed close to the tap or valve minimizing the effect of the shock on the system.
